Tiger strays into human habitation, alert sounded

Lakhimpur (UP), Jan 15 (PTI) An alert was sounded todayin Mailani range of South Kheri division after a tigerstrayed into human habitations.

"The alert has been sounded due to the presence of atiger in human habitat", A K Singh, Ranger, Mailani, said.

The tiger, while chasing a deer, strayed into the humanhabitation where some labourers were enganged in constructinga check dam.

"The residents of four villages living in the vicinityof the area have been cautioned about the movement of thetiger", Singh said.

He ruled out any imminent man-animal conflict,describing the incident of the tiger''s killing deer as anatural phenomenon.
