Three people feared drowned

Khagaria, Jan 16 (PTI) Three people were today feareddrowned as a boat capsized in Koshi river near Prayag ghatbetween Sahron and Itmadi villages near Paura police outpostin Bihar''s Khagaria district, a police officer said.

The boat carrying 12 people capsized in the river dueto some faults in wooden joints of the carrier, the Paurapolice outpost in-charge Ramnath Soren said.

Nine people managed to swim to safety, while threeothers were feared drown, he said.

Senior civil and police officials have rushed to thespot to supervise search operations, Soren said. PTI CORR KDKPR
