Three arrested for looting a jewellery shop in Chandigarh

New Delhi, Jan 16 (PTI) Three persons were arrested inthe national capital region for their alleged involvement inan armed robbery at a prominent jewellery showroom in theoutskirts of Chandigarh, police said today.

The accused identified as Bhure Khan, Paras, Manan werearrested following raids by a joint team of Delhi andChandigarh police in Delhi and Ghaziabad region yesterday inconnection with the armed heist in ''Tanishq'' show room fourdays back, a senior police official said.

Stolen jewellery and diamonds have also been recoveredfrom the trio, the official said.

Around ten to 12 armed robbers had barged into ''Tanishq''showroom on January 12 in Manimajra in Chandigarh earlymorning and overpowering three security guards decamped withthe entire jewellery.
