Six killed in road accident in Andhra Pradesh

Bhimavaram(AP), Jan 16 (PTI) Six persons, including threefrom Hyderabad, were killed when the car carrying them fellinto a roadside canal in West Godavari district today, policesaid.

The incident occurred at around 12.45 am when thecar-inmates were proceeding to Bhimavaram town after attendingSankranti celebrations at Vendra village Palkoderu mandal,they said adding bodies of five persons including two childrenwere traced from the canal and efforts were on to trace thebody of one woman Alluri Padma.

The car fell into the canal after its driver lost controlof the vehicle due to overspeeding, a police office told PTI.

Three of the deceased were identified as AnjaneshwaraReddy, D Saraswati and Sai Abhinav from Habsiguda andMotinagar in Hyderabad, while the remaining three belonged toBhimavaram, police said.
