RTI activist Kejriwal arrested, released
Noida, Jan 15 (PTI) Right to Information activistArvind Kejriwal and seven others were today arrested afterthey held a protest at sub-registrar office and blocked a roadhere.
Kejriwal, leading a group of 60 people to protestagainst alleged inaction by the authorities on a policecomplaint, was later released. He was arrested under IPCsection 151 for ignoring the command to disperse, police said.
The seven others were released after they signed abond but Ramon Magsaysay Award winner Kejriwal refused to doso. He was freed this evening.
They were protesting against the alleged inaction ofthe authorities on a police complaint filed by an NRI who wasmishandled by a staff when he went to sub-registrar office tolodge a complaint against the government employee fordemanding bribe.
