Girl killed by leopard
Dehra Dun, Jan 16 (PTI) A girl was today killed when aleopard attacked her at Sheetalakhet area of Almora district,an official said.
The 10-year-old girl was attacked by the leopard in Ronvillage of the area when she was on her way to a field earlythis morning, Almora Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Rahulsaid.
Later, her body was recovered from a nearby area, hesaid.
An ex-gratia of Rs one lakh will be given to the girl''sfamily. The forest department, however, has given Rs 5000 asimmediate assistance to the affected family, Rahul said. PTIDPT
