Five women passengers injured in freak mishap

Mumbai, Jan 16 (PTI) Five women passengers receivedminor injuries in a freak mishap involving a suburban train atChhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) here this morning, railwayofficials said.

The Thane-CST train overshot and rammed into ironpanels that indicate the dead-end. The trains are supposed tostop at a distance away from the panels, they said.

Five women passengers, who were in the firstcompartment after the motorman''s cabin, suffered minor injuresdue to the sudden jolt. They were examined by railway doctorsat CST, they said.

The motorman is being questioned for the reason behindthe incident, the officials said.
