Dempo take on Pune FC in I-League tomorrow

Margao, Jan 15 (PTI) Desparate to improve their position,Dempo Sports Club will be�going all out for a win when theytake on Pune FC in the ninth round of the I-League at NehruStadium here tomorrow.

With three wins and four draws, Dempo are 10 pointsbehind table-toppers East Bengal, and are placed fourth with13 points from eight matches.

Pune FC, who notched their first win against SalgaocarSports Club here a few days ago, are placed eight with eightpoints from as many matches.

Dempo''s performance will�largely depend on theirmid-fielders. Roberto Silva has played a key role in theirvictories and also scored goals.

However, the local outfit''s strike force has been foundwanting. Coach Armando Colaco is hoping that his mainstayRanty Martins will strike his form at the right time.

"It''s going to be a close contest and considering theform of my team, I am confident we will win tomorrow. We havedictated terms and created chances against all the teams wehave played, but our strikers have let us down."

Nehru Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for PuneFC, who notched their first win against Salgaocar here after aspate of draws and defeats.

Pune FC�coach Derick Pereira is confident about histeam''s chances in tomorrow''s match.

"We will be fielding the same side that played lastexcept defender Othallo Tobia who is out due to doublebooking," he said.

"Nehru Stadium has been a lucky ground for us as we havewon most of our matches here last year. This year also we gotour first win here," added Pereira.
