Complaint in magistrate''s court against Omar over flag issue

Gwalior, Jan 15 (PTI) A complaint has been filed in acourt here against Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister OmarAbdullah and separatist leader Yasin Malik for opposinghoisting of national flag at Srinagar''s Lal Chowk on January26 as planned by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.

The complaint was filed under section 153 of the IPC(giving provocation with intention to cause riot) and section2 of the Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act, 1971'',by Sumit Parashar of Jago Hind Sangthan'', yesterday.

Parashar alleges that by opposing hoisting of nationalflag, both Abdullah and Malik have committed an anti-nationalact.

Judge Kumudini Patel, Judicial Magistrate First Class,has directed the complainant to submit evidence on the issueon January 21.

BJYM, BJP''s youth wing, is planning to hoist thenational flag at Lal Chowk on January 26. Chief MinisterAbdullah had criticised the plan, saying BJP would beresponsible for "repercussions" of hoisting the flag inKashmir Valley.
