10 militants killed in northwest Pakistan
Peshawar, Jan 15 (PTI) Ten Taliban fighters werekilled in two separate incidents in the restive tribal belt ofnorthwest Pakistan today, official sources said.
Four militants were killed when security forcesrepulsed an attack on a security check post in Toda Khura areaof Orakzai tribal region.
Two more rebels were arrested after an exchange offire, the sources said.
In another incident, six militants were killed andfour more injured when the vehicle they were travelling in hita landmine near Ali Sherzai village in Orakzai Agency.
The militants were travelling from Kurram Agency toOrakzai Agency when the vehicle hit the mine.
The explosion destroyed the vehicle.
In a separate development, militant commander AbdulManan surrendered to police in Orakzai Agency, Frontier Corpsspokesman Maj Fazlur Rehman told PTI.
