Cracks in Punjab Cong leaders surfaces

Muktsar, Jan 14 (PTI) Differences among leaders ofPunjab unit of Congress came to the fore today at a politicalconference held by the party on the occasion of Maghi melahere.

AICC special invitee Jagmeet Singh Brar, former stateparty chief and MP Mohinder Singh Kaypee and MP Partap SinghBajwa were conspicuous by their absence at the event wherePunjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh and Leader of oppositionRajinder Kaur Bhattal were present.

Party insiders said that Brar skipped the occasion ashe was reportedly annoyed after Amarinder had ignored hislunch invitation at his house today.

Amarinder, they said, had told Brar that he had packedhis lunch with him and would not be able to accept his offerfor the same at the latter''s residence.

The conference was held in the constituency of Brar.

Brar, Kaypee and Bajwa were not available for theircomments.
