CM, Lt Governor extend Pongal greetings
Puducherry, Jan 14 (PTI) Chief Minister V Vaithilingamtoday said Puducherry Government had immensely contributed foragriculture ensuring latest technologies, permanent revenueand living status for farmers.
In his greetings on the eve of Pongal (harvest) festival,Vaithilingam said there was a dramatic change in agriculturalsector on account of the governments viable strategiesensuring basic development and standard of agriculture in theUnion Territory.
He assured that the government schemes and programmeswould be continued for the benefit of the people ofPuducherry.
Lt Governor Dr Iqbal Singh in his message said Pongalwas an occasion for farmers to thank the Mother Nature for thebountiful harvest.
