Three hardcore Maoists arrested

Malkangiri (Orissa), Jan 14 (PTI) Three hardcoreMaoists were arrested in Malkangiri district even as twosenior members of Kalimela Dalam of the outlawed CPI(Maoist)could manage to flee, the police said.

The ultras arrested from Batiguda forests in Kalimelapolice station area were identified as Bhima Padiami, DebaMadhi and Ganga Sodi of Rajolkanda gram panchayat area.

However, two senior Maoist leaders like Damodar andAkash of Kalimela Dalam could manage to escape from the site,Malkangiri SP Anirudha Singh said, adding that two fire arms,some posters and dress used by Maoist cultural wing, wereseized.

The personnel of special operation group (SOG) andDistrict Voluntary Force (DVF) nabbed the trio during acombing operation inside the jungle, SP said.
