Spanco calls for better infrastructure, security of Dehra Dun

Dehra Dun, Jan 14 (PTI) Stating that BPOs in Dehra Dunhas the potential to grow to Rs 1,000 crore creating 50,000jobs, Spanco BPO Services today sought better infrastructure,transport and security system in the city for overall growthof the outsourcing industry.

"Our estimate suggests that BPOs can create 50,000 jobsand grow to Rs 1000 crore in short time provided we have goodsecurity, transport and infrastructure in the city," SpancoBPO Chief Executive Officer Pravin Kumar told reporters here.

He said the company started its operations in Dehra Dunfour months ago with 300 people and now the strength has grownto 1,500.

In this regard, Kumar said he has discussed the issues ofsecurity and transportation with the District Magistrate ofDehra Dun also.
