Select copra firms up on steady demand

Mumbai, Jan 14 (PTI) Copra edible and copra Kozhikodeprices rose further at the spices market here today on risingdomestic as well as stockists demand coupled with robustexport offtake.

Meanwhile, copra Rajapur dropped owing to reduced buyingby retailers amid higher supply.

Copra edible Mumbai surged by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs7,650 from yesterday''s closing level of Rs 7,550 and copraoffice Kozhikode gained by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,300 asagainst Rs 6,250 previously.

However, copra Rajapur Mumbai fell by Rs 100 per quintalto Rs 8,000 from overnight closing level of Rs 8,100.

Rest of the spices closed stable in the absence ofworthwhile buying activity.
