New textile policy to be introduced in Maha in a month: Khan
Solapur, Jan 14 (PTI) The Maharashtra government has saidthat a new textile policy would be introduced in the statewithin a month to save sick units.
This announcement was made by State Textile Minister NasimArif Khan here during a press meet organised by the SolapurPress Club yesterday.
Addressing the meet Khan said, The new policy would behelpful not only to generate employment but would remaininstrumental in uplifting the mill workers on all fronts.
Medical facilities and housing projects will also be givenpriority."
He said that the new policy will be chalked out in such amanner that it benefits cotton producers in VidharbhaKhandesh and other regions.
Till recently, there was no proper planning to give lifeto the textile industry but now we have geared up seriously,"he said.
