Left parties oppose setting up asbestos plant in Muzaffarpur
Patna, Jan 13 (PTI) The Left parties today joined theAsbestos Virodhi Nagrik Manch (AVNM) and asked the Bihargovernment to stop the construction of asbestos plant atMuzaffarpur district.
Leaders of the CPI-M, CPI and SUCI said that the plantwas being set up in a thickly-populated area and was againstlarger public interest as well as the farmers as the unitwould adversely affect farm produce in Chainpur-Vishunpurvillage under Mandva block.
The Left leaders said that they would not allow settingup of the factory at any cost and threatened to organise amassive dharna in Patna on February 11.
