Helpline launched to address civic problems

Greater Noida, Jan 14 (PTI) Now complaints about a faultypipeline or an overflowing drain is just a phone call away forresidents here.

Commissioner(Meerut division) Anurag Srivastavainaugurated the Lok Mitra Sewa today, a system under whichcomplaints on any civic issue can be made on the phone.

A nodal officer will later follow-up to check if thegrievance has been redressed to the satisfaction of thecomplainant.

The District Magistrate here gave the Commissioner ademonstration of how the system works, which was witnessed bydistrict officials and hundreds of residents who attended thefunction.

The scheme will be monitored regularly, said officials.
