Haryana now bans plastic containers
Chandigarh, Jan 14 (PTI) The Haryana Government hasimposed a ban on recycled plastic containers after a similarprohibition on plastic carry bags in the state.
No person would use containers made of recycledplastics for storing, carrying, dispensing or packing offoodstuffs, state Forest and Environment Minister Capt AjaySingh Yadav said here today.
Use of all types of plastic articles, like plates,cups, tumblers, spoons, and straw, have also been banned inmunicipal limits of Thanesar-Kurukshetra and Pehowa towns,precincts of Mansa Devi temple, Panchkula and Sheetla Matatemple, Gurgaon and Public Parks, Wildlife sanctuaries andnational parks of Haryana and Gram Panchayat, Morni.
The state had earlier imposed a total ban onmanufacture, distribution, stocking, recycling, selling orusing plastic carry bags in the state.
