3i Infotech elevates Pankaj Chawla

Mumbai, Jan 14 (PTI) 3i Infotech, a global provider ofIT solutions and one of India''s largest software productcompanies, today said Pankaj Chawla has been elevated asPresident of its India, Middle-East, APAC and Africa markets.

Earlier, Chawla was Head of Middle East (West Asia),Africa, Russia and CIS regions.

In his new position, Chawla will be in charge of 3iInfotech''s business operations across significant marketswhich account for around 40 per cent of the company''s globalrevenue, a release said here.

Prior to joining 3i Infotech, Chawla served asManaging Director of LogicaCMG for South Asia. He has alsoworked with firms like General Electric and Satyam Computer.

3i Infotech Managing Director and Global CEO VSrinivasan, said, "Pankaj has consistently proved hissignificant experience and expertise. We are confident thatwith his effective leadership skills and deep IT knowledge, hewill further accelerate the growth of 3i Infotech in thesefast growing markets."

In the South-Asia region, Chawla will be assisted byNarayan V, who has been assigned the role of Region Head�SouthAsia, it added.
