Mumbai, Jan 12 (PTI) Maharashtra Government is goingto help students of standard 10th prepare their study-timetable in advance by releasing final examination schedule atthe beginning of the academic year.
"The students of the standard 10th (state board) wouldget exam schedule at the beginning of the year so that theycan plan their study-time table," School Education MinisterRajendra Darda said here today after holding a meeting witheducation department officials.
With this, the government wants to end the uncertaintyover the final exam dates, which are usually declared only amonth or two before, Darda said. The decision would beimplemented from the next academic year, he added.
The minister also reviewed online admission system forjunior colleges which was started two years back by theGovernment in order to make the process centralised.
"I have asked the officials to make the system morefoolproof, " Darda said.
The online admission system drew a lot of flak fromstudents and parents last year, as the system server failedduring the process. The students also alleged that they werenot told how to fill up the forms.
