Rupee advances by 13 paise in morning trade
Mumbai, Jan 13 (PTI) The Indian rupee continues to tradefirm for the third consecutive day today, when it gainedanother 13 paise to Rs 45.00 a dollar in the morning trade onbanks selling the US currency on account of its weakness inthe overseas market.
At the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market, thelocal currency opened higher at 45.06/07 a dollar from itslast close of 45.13/14 and firmed up further to 45.00 perdollar before quoting at 45.09/10 per dollar at 1030 hours.
It moved in a range of 45.00 per dollar and 45.12 perdollar in the morning deals.
The US dollar index fell for the third day in a row inNew York market yesterday, to its lowest in more than a week.
