Demonstrators demand tracing of four Rabha students

Rangiya, Jan 13 (PTI) Demonstrations were held todayin front of the Palasbari sub-divisional office in Assam''sKamrup (Rural) district demanding tracing out of four RabhaStudents Santha members on Sunday.

The RSS Bordubi unit, Rabha Mahila Parishad and SixthSchedule Demand Committee jointly held a dharna and submitteda memorandum to the chief minister through the SDC ontheir demand.

Paralysing work in the office, the demonstrators intheirmemorandum said on Sunday a 20-member team of the RSS had gonewith relief materials to ethnic violence-hit Goalparadistrict.

On their way back they were attacked by some unknownmiscreants and 12 of them were injured seriously and fourothers were missing since then, the memo alleged.

They demanded that the missing be traced out andthe attackers punished.

The injured were undergoing medical treatment at the GMCHospital in Guwahati, they added.
