Counterfeit currency seized, four arrested

Jammu, Jan 12 (PTI) Fake currency notes, with aface value of Rs 1.5 lakh, were today seized here and fourpersons, including two from West Bengal, arrested in thisconnection, police said.

Fake currency notes with denominations of Rs 500 andRs 1000 were seized from the four persons, who were arrestedat checkpoint in Janipur here, authorities said.

The arrested youths were identified as Sahil MubarakButt, Shoket Mohiddin Kuchey (both from Kulgam, SouthKashmir), Zakir Hussain and Shahid (both from Malda in WestBengal), police said, adding that further investigations areon.
