Cash, jewellery stolen from choreographer Saroj Khan''s car
Mumbai, Jan 12 (PTI) Unidentified persons stole cash,diamond and gold jewellery collectively worth Rs 6.31 lakhfrom famous choreographer Saroj Khan''s car which was parked ina parking lot in suburban Andheri, police said.
A case has been registered in Amboli Police Station aftershe filed a complaint, and police have sought CCTV footageavailable at the nearby commercial establishments.
Khan was visiting her doctor on the evening of January10, and had asked her driver to park the car at the parkinglot near Red Cafe hotel.
The complaint claims that while the driver had left thecar for a brief period, somebody stole her leather bagcontaining cash, jewellery and her passport from the backseat.
Driver had stepped out to pay the parking fee and car''sdoors were apparently unlocked.
Additional Commissioner Amitabh Gupta said the statementsof the driver and the person in charge of the parking lot wererecorded. Further probe is on.
