Three killed in accident

Hisar, Jan 11 (PTI) Three persons were killed and tensustained injuries, five of them seriously, when a jeepcarrying them collided with a truck coming from oppositedirection between village Sorkhi and Garhi, about 35 km fromhere, on Hisar-Delhi national highway today.

The accident occurred when the driver of the truck triedto overtake another vehicle and collided head-on with thetruck.

The victims have been identified as jeep driverKuldeep (28) of village Sorkhi, Ramphal (52) and Baru Ram(32) both residents of village of Mayyar.

The injured Sanjay, Dharamvir, Parul, Rajender, Pawan,Ram Krishan, Praveen, Ramesh, Dilbag and Hansi were taken tocivil hospital at Hansi. The seriously injured Sanjay,Dharamvir, Parul and Rajender were sent to Hisar while Pawanwas shifted to Rohtak Medical College.

The driver of the truck escaped from the site, thepolice said. A case has been registered by the police againstthe driver of the truck.
