Stalin''s remarks against Jaya expunged after AIADMK protest

Chennai, Jan 12 (PTI) Archrivals DMK and AIADMK sparredover some remarks made by Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalinagainst former chief minister Jayalalithaa in the Tamil naduAssembly today.

It all started when AIADMK member G Senthamizhan,participating in the debate on the motion of thanks to theGovernor for his address to the Assembly, said the DMKGovernment had downsized the women commando force, set upduring the Jayalalithaa regime.

Intervening, Stalin gave a clarification on the issue andalso made some remarks against the AIADMK chief to which theopposition party members reacted strongly.

After noisy scenes involving the DMK and AIADMK members,Deputy Speaker V P Duraisamy expunged the remarks made byStalin.
