MLC pastes corruption ''rate-list'' at Education offices

Meerut, Jan 12 (PTI) One can fix examination centrefor Rs 2 lakhs or get a permission to copy answer-sheet injust Rs 10,000, claims an MLC, who has pasted ''briberate-lists'' outside the Education department offices here inhis campaign against corruption.

Om Prakash Sharma, MLC from Meerut Teachers''constituency, has pasted the corruption rate-lists whichstates that one can fix a transfer for Rs one lakh, getselected in a panel by giving Rs 50,000 to officials orschools can have nod for holding +2 classes for Rs 2 lakh.

"It is a part of our campaign against corruption andthe rate-list states the level of corruption in the Educationdepartment. Each bribe amount has been verified by me andanother seven MLCs who are supporting me," he said, addingthat similar posters will put up in other districts of thestate.
