Cycle expedition of ONGC Territorial Army flagged off

Ahmedabad, Jan 11 (PTI) A cycle expedition planned aspart of Prime Minister''s Territorial Army (TA)Day celebration,organised by the 811 Engineering Regiment ONGC (TA), wasflagged off today from Vadodara city in Gujarat.

The expedition consisting of 11 members would spreadawareness about the ONGC territorial army and motivate youthsto join it, an official release said.

Besides, the expedition would also spread awareness aboutnational integration, adventure and concepts of ''Saveenvironment'' and ''Save Energy'' among the general population ontheir route, it said.

The expedition led by lieutenant Janardan Patel wouldcover over 480 km and reach ONGC''s Uran plant in Mumbai onJanuary 21.

In Gujarat it will cover ONGC plants in Jambusar,Gandhar, Ankleshwar and Hazira on their route to Uran, therelease said.
