Whenever you see corrupt, think of Congress: BJP

Remembering an old advertisement punch line - "whenever you think of colour, think of us", senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arun Jaitley claimed, "With Congress, it goes like whenever you see corrupt, think of us. Whenever Congress leaders see corrupt, they have a sense of affinity."
Stating about Thomas' appointment as CVC, Jaitley slammed prime minister Manmohan Singh and claimed, "Singh had gone ahead with clearing his name for the post ignoring strong dissent by leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj."
Jaitley also criticised Singh for his (PM) "direct involvement" in the appointment of Thomas.
Thomas, seven other senior govt officials were also accused for their alleged involvement in the import of Palmolein oil from a Singapore based firm at prices higher than the international rate, that caused the exchequer a loss of Rs 2.32 crore.
The whole scandal controversy gained a new energy when the Supreme Court on Jan 11 vacated the stay order on Palmolein oil import scam case and allowed the state government to proceed its trial against Thomas and other accused.
