Samsung to launch new tablet at MWC in Feb

Seoul, Jan 11: The gadget world has received new iPad Killer, Motorola Xoom tablet. But, what about our Samsung Galaxy Tab? The Seoul based Samsung had launched the Galaxy Tab as a rival tablet against the iPad, which dominates the tablet market with more than 80 percentage of the market share. according to latest reports, Samsung is planning to launch a new tablet at Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show in Barcelona in Feb.

Earlier, we reported that Samsung has the plan to launch new 7-inch Galaxy Tab with AMOLED screens. And also, during a trade show in China, Samsung came with a proto-type of a new tablet having 10-inch screen. So, the new tablet will be more bigger than the current 7-inch Galaxy Tab.

The sale of Galaxy Tab, which was launched in Oct 2010, had passed the one million mark in Dec. Samsung is planning to become the second best in the tablet market. The launch Motorola Xoom will also affect the sale of Galaxy Tab.

Motorola Xoom runs on latest Android tablet only operating system Honeycomb, whereas Galaxy Tab uses Android 2.2 Froyo OS. New users, who want an Android tablet will definitely opt for Xoom. To overcome this, Samsung plans to launch the new tablet. It will have Honeycomb and dual core processor.
