Ex-Pak Interior Minister Naseerullah Babar passes away
Peshawar, Jan 11(ANI): Former Pakistan Interior Minister Naseerullah Babar died of protracted illness on Monday at the age of 83.
Babar had been paralyzed for two years, and his condition deteriorated last Sunday after which he was admitted to the hospital where he breathed his last, the Daily Times reports.
He had served as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor from 1975 to 1977 under Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's government.
He became Interior Minister during Benazir Bhutto's second government from 1993-1996.
He was Special Assistant in Benazir Bhutto's first government from 1988-1990.
He had distanced himself from active politics after developing differences with the Pakistan People's Party in 2007. (ANI)
