Actor Shashi Kapoor in critical condition

Mumbai, Jan 10: The dimpled star of yesteryears Shashi Kapoor is battling for life at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital at Andheri in Mumbai. Sources from hospital reported that he is struggling with age-related ailments.

He was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital on Dec 12, 2010. Earlier on Dec 26, Amitabh Bachchan had visited him and spent more than half an hour. Both stars have made remarkable movies like Deewar, Trishul, Imaan Dharam and Suhaag during 1970s.

Shashi Kapoor is the star who stole our hearts with his stellar performance in Jab Jab Phool Khile and Satyam Shivam Sundaram can be described as an artist par excellence. Bollywood cine-goers were surprised by his immaculate choice of characters and the realistic portrayal of them.
