CES 2011: Dell shows off Android mobile Venue

Las Vegas, Jan 8: Dell has announced the official launch of its latest Android running smartphone, Dell Venue at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show 2011 in Las Vegas. Unlike from other manufactures, Dell decided to sell this handset unlocked in United States.

Dell Venue boasts a 4.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass Technology. The operating system onboard is Android 2.2 Froyo which is powered with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD 8250 processor.

This new smartphone has a 1GB internal memory which can be extended upto 32 GB using micro SD cards. The camera at rear offers a 8 megapixel with LED Flash and 4x Digital Zoom. The camera also support 720p HD video recording.

Dell has not announced the price and date of release of Venue. It is expected that Dell Venue will hit the market by the end of first quarter of 2011. The availability and price in Indian market are not available. Stay tuned for more updates.
