Sheikh Hasina's life under threat?

Dhaka, Jan 7: Bangladesh is seeing an enhanced security situation following a threat from Islamic militants to assassinate Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed.

Threat has also been sounded to blow up a high-security jail in Chittagong. The demands of the militants is to secure the release of their associates from prisons within a month.

The letter's sender has called himself a member of the outlawed Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), the Daily Star reports.
