Twitter to launch official app in Mac App Store

New York, Jan 6: The popular social networking website Twitter is planning to launch an application for Apple Mac devices during the launch of Mac App Store on Thursday, Jan 6.

Technology blog Razorianfly reported that Tweetie 2.0 (Twitter for Mac) will be available to download on Mac App Store, the exclusive application store for Apple Mac devices. The new Twitter app will have native retweet support, real-time updates and drag-and-drop tweeting capabilities.

The Mac App Store will be similar to Apple's popular application store, Apple Store, where users can easily identify and purchase applications for their computers. Stay tuned for more updates.
