Reagan's handwritten changes to 'Evil Empire' speech on display
London, Jan 6 (ANI): The National Archives in Washington DC has put Ronald Reagan's handwritten changes to his 'Evil Empire' speech on display for the first time.
The exhibition was unveiled on Wednesday to mark the 100th anniversary of Reagan's birth on February 6, reports the Telegraph.
The items in the exhibition document Reagan's personal diplomacy with Mikhail Gorbachev and other leaders of the since-disbanded Soviet Union.
This rotating exhibit also showcases his correspondence with Mikhail Gorbachev and a bronze cast of Moscow's Kremlin from the one-time Soviet leader.
The Soviet Union was declared an 'Evil Empire' by Reagan in a 1983 speech, before the National Association of Evangelicals in Florida. It became one of his best-known speeches. (ANI)
