Telangana: Complete Srikrishna committee report

Hyderabad, Jan 6:The Srikrishna report has evoked excitement ,both the good kind and the bad. The Home minister P Chidambaram has appealed to the political parties in Andhra Pradesh. He has suggested that they go through the Srikrishna Comittee report with an "open mind" and give "impartial consideration."

The 505 page report stresses on an amicable solution on how best to handle the three key parts of Andhra Pradesh namely Coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Among the six options given by the committee, the report recommends a united Andhra Pradesh with empowered constitutionally-allocated rights to the Telangana region. This will ensure the socio-economic upliftment of the Telangana region.
