Editor held for BJP MLA's murder

Purnia, Jan 6: The murder case of BJP MLA Raj Kishore Kesri took a new turn on Thursday, Jan 6. The police arrested Navlesh Pathak, the editor of a local English weekly 'Quisling', which had first reported the sexual harassment complaint of Rupam Pathak. Rupam stabbed Kesri to death at a public event on Tuesday, Jan 4.

Police arrested Navlesh following Keshari's nephew Sudip Keshari's complaint. Sudip filed an FIR with the K-Hat police station against Rupam Pathak and Navlesh Pathak.

DIG (Purnia range) Amit Kumar said, “we are probing Navlesh and yet to identify the third person in the FIR."
