Sony Ericsson to unveil Walkman Yendo in Jan

Tokyo, Jan 3: Sony Ericsson, the global leader in music gadgets, is all set to launch its latest invention to the global market. It's not its iconic device Walkman nor the ultra modern smartphone, but the mixture of both. Yes, the first touchscreen-based phone using the Walkman brand, Yendo smartphone.

Sony Ericsson is planning to launch Yendo on 2011 Jan last or Feb first. Earlier, the Tokyo based company delayed the launch citing unspecified issues with phone's software. According to the latest company inside reports, Yendo will be surfaced by Jan.

Yendo has a 2.6 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen and a 2 megapixel camera. It comes with Sony Ericsson's TrackID music recognition and PlayNow applications.
