Will the Telangana fate be sealed today?

Hyderabad, Dec 30: The much awaited SriKrishna Committee report will be out on Dec 30 putting an end to all speculations on the separate Telangana state. The committee will submit their report to the Home Minister.

The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh held a high profile meeting with other cabinet members to how best to deal with the situation after the report is released. Possible repercussions once the report is released was also discussed at length. The focus was on how to maintain law and order on the already volatile situation in Andhra Pradesh.

The Telangana issue has been a hot topic with various Congress MP's, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, Jaganmohan Reddy and the TDP.

The 800-page report is considered paramount in sealing the fate for the demand for Telangana. The report is also said to consist a "range of options" rather than recommendations on the sensitive Telangana issue. The media has been strictly instructed not to discuss the specifics of the report due to the unpredictable outcome of the report.

Andhra Pradesh is under a heavy security cover following the release of the report. As much as 5000 paramilitary forces are on stand by in case of any untoward incidents that may erupt in the state. The nerve centres of the agitation like the Osmania University, the Hyderabad High Court, courts in Ranga Reddy district is fiercely guarded.
