Spanish woman stages fake abduction to 'test hubby'
London, Dec 29 (ANI): There are many ways to test your husband's love but for one Spanish woman, what she did went a little too far.
The unnamed woman faked her own kidnap to test if her husband would be willing to pay 17,000 pounds in ransom.
But the Spanish police caught her preparing to spend the money in High Street sales.
The man received the photo on his mobile phone from someone claiming to be one of the kidnappers along with a text message demanding a ransom of 20,000 euros for her release, reports the Telegraph.
He reported it to the police force, which spotted her car. They followed the vehicle to a shopping mall in the town of Gandia on the Mediterranean coast.
"The woman, who was travelling alone and was in perfect health, was the supposed victim of the kidnapping," the police statement said.
At first she told police that she had been released that morning but later confessed to faking her abduction "to find out what her husband would be willing to do for her". (ANI)
