Quick thinking 3-yr-old girl saves elderly neighbour from fire

London, Dec 28 (ANI): A little girl in Britain saved her elderly neighbour's life when she raised the alarm after seeing smoke coming from his home.

Rosie Birula, 3, who loves to watch TV cartoon hero Fireman Sam, rushed to tell her father when she saw the smoke coming out from the home of Hedley Onions, 98.

Rosie ran to her father Nick screaming: "There's smoke just like Fireman Sam."

"I could see flames in the front room - I told Rosie 'well done' and raced across the road to help," the Daily Express quoted Nick as saying.

The blaze had started when an old electric blanket caught fire, and while Nick ran to help, Rosie's mother Nicola called emergency services to the house in Penarth, South Wales.

"I got there just in time," Nick added. (ANI)
