Snowstorm rocks east coast; NY flights cancelled

New York, Dec 27: A massive snowstorm is expected to hit the east coast soon. Several flights reportedly 1,400 flights were canceled from New York City's three major regional airports on Sunday, Dec 26.

Citing the worsened condition of the weather, many more flights were expected to be canceled on Monday, Dec 27.

"Fortunately, this is a week that many people take off from work anyway, so there should be fewer people commuting," stated New York international airport official on Sunday, Dec 26.

"All we can do is try the best we can to make tomorrow's rush as tolerable as possible. But it's going to be extremely problematic. People are going to have to leave very early," added the official.
