CBI grills Raja; DMK blames media in 'Defend Raja'

On the other side, Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi led DMK party in their campaign "Defend Raja" took a hand on Opposition parties and media as the party accused them (opposition and media) of casting Raja in a "false case."
"Nothing has been proven against Raja. We believe he is innocent. Without being proven guilty how can we take action?" DMK leader stated on Dec 24 and also added, "There is no strain in the ties."
On the other side, CBI DIG and spokesperson Bineeta Thakur on Dec 24 stated about their questions to the former telecom minister and informed, "He (Raja) was questioned in relation to the case registered into the allocation of unified access service licenses."
According the sources, CBI also quizzed Raja on the tapped conversation he had with corporate lobbyist Niira Radia about allegedly favouring certain telecom companies.
However, after CBI's questioning on Dec 24, Raja stated, "I gave full cooperation to the investigating agencies. I cannot say anything further because investigations are on."
