38 people killed, over 62 injured in Bajaur Agency suicide attack

Khar, Dec 25 (ANI): At least 38 people were killed in a suicide attack in Pakistan's Bajaur tribal region on Saturday morning.

Over 62 people were also injured in the blast that took place outside Civil Colony Khar in Bajaur Agency, Geo News reported.

"The attack took place when hundreds of people were gathered to receive food rations for people displaced by fighting," the Dawn quoted Wisal Ahmed, a government official in the tribal region, as saying.

Security forces have cordoned off the area after the blast, and emergency has been declared in headquarter Khar. (ANI)
