Brother knifes his sister in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 24: A 21-year-old man attacked his sister on Wednesday, Dec 22, and knifed her twice. The Central district police arrested the accused name Subhas and registered the case under IPC section 307 (voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons).

The victim was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency treatment. Doctors confirmed she was out of danger.

DCP Vivek Kishore said that, the sister of accuse had a friendship with a local boy and they eloped on Nov 21. Subhas forced his sister to come back home repeatedly but his sister did not return. Frustrated Subhas went to the couple's place on Wednesday and forced his sister to step-out with him. The moment she rejected he knifed his sister couple of times on her forearm and arm.

“The intention of the accused was not to kill his sister. The injuries on her was not life-threatening. Therefore we registered a complaint under IPC section 324 instead of section 307 (attempt to murder)," a police official said.
