New Delhi, Dec 23: Congress' main Opposition party, BJP rejected Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee's offer to initiate special session of Parliament and reiterated their demand of Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe in 2G spectrum scandal.

BJP on Dec 23 stated that they will not compromise with the demand of JPC and another Parliament session would be worthless if it would be arranging for the debate over JPC demand.

"If Congress has nothing to hide why it is shying away from a JPC inquiry. They should form a JPC and probe would bring out everything," stated BJP spokesperson.

Another Opposition leader asked, "Why PM is not ready to face a JPC, even as he offered to appear before the Parliament"s Public Accounts Committee on the 2G spectrum allocation?"

Speaking on 2G spectrum scam and Opposition's JPC demand, Mr Mukherjee earlier announced that if Opposition is ready for debate over the issue, government is ready to organise a special Parliament session before budget session.
