Rahul interacts with Dalit students in Madurai

Madurai, Dec 23: The young face of Congress Rahul Gandhi, gave a surprise visit to Dalit hostel in Madurai, on Wednesday, Dec 23, as a part of two-days visit to Tamil Nadu (TN).

Congress General secretary Rahul, interacted with the hostel students and heard their complaints and living conditions in hostel. Later he promised the students that he will surely look into the issue.

Rahul has been to Tamil Nadu to motivate young Congress members and to strengthen the party at grass-root level.

This high profile visit is the part of promoting Congress in upcoming state election in Tamil Nadu. Post Kamaraj govt (Congress rule), Congress has not been able to come in power, since last three decades, in Tamil Nadu.

Rahul asked the party loyalists to work hard and close to people and build the party at ward and panchayat level. Rahul in a meeting with young activists said, “time will come when one from this group can become the chief minister."
