Ghaziabad, (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 22 (ANI): A Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here on Wednesday awarded death sentence to Surinder Koli after finding him guilty of rape and murder of 12-year-old girl Deepali in the sensational Nithari killings in 2006.

Special CBI Judge A K Singh pronounced the verdict against 38-year-old Koli, the domestic help of Moninder Singh Pandher, who was the prime accused in the case, as reportedly Deepali's body parts were found in a drain in Nithari in 2006.

This is the fourth out of a total of 16 cases filed by the investigating agency in connection with the killing and disposing off the bodies of 19 children and a young woman between 2005 and 2006.

The CBI court had earlier on September 28 held Koli guilty of rape and murder of nine-year-old Rachna, saying he deserved a more severe punishment for his crimes.

Earlier on May 12, the CBI court awarded death sentence to Koli for murdering seven-year-old Aarti in Noida's Nithari village.

In a previous order on the Nithari killings, the special CBI court had on February 12 awarded the death sentence to Moninder Singh Pandher and Surender Koli for their roles in the Rampa Haldar murder case.

The investigation of the case was handed over to the CBI on January 11, 2007. (ANI)
